How to Create the Best Resume...

What is a Resume?


This helps let know possible employers, internships even colleges more about you professionally. It could be helpful to present yourself more professionally and be taken seriously for a job, internship, or even college.



It includes: your name, contact information, education, work experience, involvement, skills, and awards.


Steps & Tips


1. Put Your name and last name on the top center of the paper



2. Put your contact information such as email and phone number so that the person that receives your resume can have a way to contact you. Recommended below your name to be easy found on your resume.



3. Make a subsection for any sort of education completed or if you're still a student also add that on, it's also important to add in dates.



4. Make another subsection any sort of work experience can help that will potentially increase the chance to let the person viewing your essay know what type of experience you have and add in dates.



5. Make another subsection of involvement this can include community service or volunteering, programs you are involved in. This can really show more about things you’ve done like extracurricular activities may impress colleges, internships, or a potential job. An example could be you were a part of Honors Society or Sorority etc. It's also important to include dates and recommend to add a description below of the program or what you took part in to make your resume stronger.



6. A subsection for any skills you may have can impress and let them know any skills that you could potentially provide for the job, internship, etc. For example, if you are bilingual or speak more languages that can be a skill and an advantage.



7. Lastly provide a subsection for awards to brag a little bit about yourself and accomplishments that you have made. Really impresses people and lets a person know what you have been successful in. An example can be any sort of certification you’ve gained.
